What do i do if i owe money this year, but am getting money back from last year?
im supposed to get money back from last year’s taxes, but i owe some for this year. do i write a check for the amount i owe and wait for the money i am owed? or will they know to offset the amount i owe from the amount i am to recieve? my current year forms will be efiled, while the previous year will be mailed in.
What is your American dream with regard to earning money? Will the government squash your dream?
I’ve been more and more concerned about things that our government is doing in terms of telling companies who much they should and shouldn’t pay people. Will they set limits on earnings? If so, do you think that is wise? Do you think it’s up to a government to determine what you make?
I have to admit it, and I am not ashamed of it, that I have always dreamed of somehow “striking it rich”. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that.
I gave as much as Biden donated to charity in the last 10 years, just last year, so do not accuse me of being selfish and this household makes one heck of a lot less than him.

I just think that dream is something important. It’s what brought people to American in many cases, the freedom to choose and freedom to pursue happiness.
At a town hall meeting in Manchester NH last Saturday, Shea-Porter (D) congress told people that one of the reasons they should support the health care plan was that the executives of the insurance companies were making too much money. Since when is it a crime to be a top executive and make a really nice paycheck? She acted like they “must be stopped”.
Soon, they will have all our paychecks somehow “equalized” so that the American dream to prosper and make something of yourself will be squashed.
Do Americans truly want this?

I knew there would be people calling me names, by the way. I’m OK with that. I stand by what I have to say. I’m not some awful creep who takes from others. We support ourselves in this house. We work really hard and yet so much is already taken by a greedy government.
if u recieved EDD last year and didnt claim the tax on the form will u get money taken away from ure taxes?
so will you get money taken away from this years tax return if on the edd form u never checked the box to take taxes away. and if they do take money away about how much is it? my husband recieved 2322

i know that i’d have to get it touched up a lot, & money is tight right now.. so could i just do it myself? i’m willing to take the time & do it rightt(:
