Where can I get a NJ last will and testament notarized?
I’ve called around, banks will NOT notarize wills, most lawyers want to draft it and charge (0’s for the will) I already have a legally (re-tired lawyer uncle drafted it for me) drafter will. Most small notarization places will only notarize their own versions of a will which also costs 0’s . How much can I expect to pay just for a standard will notarization. Where should I go?
what are the legal steps i will make when my former band stoled and recorded my own song without my consent?
my former band stoled my song composition without asking my permission and i did not even consented them to do so. actually when i left the band i told them that i will leave them, continue their gigs but i remind them not to use/record my own composed songs. but after a month, i was so shocked when i heard my song on the local radio. any lawyers out there willing to give me legal advice? can i sue my former band on the grounds of stealing intellectual property?
If I order a public record of someone’s ‘last will & testament’ how can I know it’s really the ‘last one.’?
A friend of my mother’s recently died, and about a year before he did, he said he was going to see his lawyer because he wanted to add me to his will since he found out he had a terminal disease. I called his lawyer to ask whether I was on the will or not. First, the lawyer took about 6 months to get back to me, even though I called him five times. Then when I finally got a hold of him, he said my name wasn’t on it, but he wouldn’t show me a copy. I know I can order it through the public records of the State, but how can I know it’s really the "last will and testament." I was told lawyers can make a profit depending which version of a will they use if they are executors, so couldn’t they just file an old will since no one would ever know.
Do-It-Yourself Will kit?
My wife and I need to set up wills, guardianship for our children if we die, etc… Lawyers will do this for us for 0.00! Right now that is just too much money for us. Are cheap forms that are found online can actually be legally binding? If so, I would like to fill them out just for now. (Later on, when we have money I would like the go thru the lawyer just to be on the safe side)
Lawyer didn’t file settlement forms before deadline, does he have a legal right to payment?
I have a lawyer who did not file settlement forms on time because an employee of his was attempting to extort money from me. I filed last minute and got the settlement but the check came in the lawyers name and he kept ,500 of it. Does his not filling the papers on time forfeit his claim to any of the money?
